Alexandra Mills works in both 2D and 3D media often combining drawing with materials such as wire, timber and textiles, reusing found materials to evoke the character of subject matter. Recent projects have been research-based bodies of work responding to a particular location or a historical person or place. Current work attempts to interpret the form and line of coastal Sydney vegetation in salvaged materials.
